Yamato from Sukitte Ii na yo is an interesting character. His quest to blend in is blinding him from seeing how much of a jerk he is. His reasons for kissing other girls and having sex with Aiko seem so empty.

I know this is meant to give us a contrast between how he is with other girls and how he is with Mei, but if I was Mei I’d be very nervous about him.

I’m sure my opinion might change once I finish the anime and/or read the manga, but at the moment I’m just not feeling him.

This episode was pretty intense. We got to see Sakamoto display his awesome BTOOOM! That right there would make this an awesome episode by itself, but I think the best part was Kira Kosuke. A sad boy, who was abused physically, emotionally, and sexually by his father. Due to this, he channels his rage by committing petty crimes like pick pocketing and larceny; however, we then learn that he upped his antics when he killed and raped three women.

Yes, killed then raped. All at the tender age of fourteen.

What makes this even worse is that he doesn’t show any remorse and instead of being incarcerated, he’s released due to him being a minor and his history of abuse. AHHH! It makes me so angry. And yet, I find his character to be really interesting. I want to feel bad for him, because he was abused, but he killed then raped three women so he should die. DIEEEEE!

But, the real question is should he get the chance to seek redemption and change, or should he just be killed in a horrible horrible way?

I have a feeling he’ll eventually be killed, so um let’s just go with that. He’s a psychopath, so I’m okay with it.

I am curious why he was brought to the island with his father and lawyer though. And why his lawyer called Kosuke a monster, but turns a blind eye to what Kosuke’s father does.

Every time I watch JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, I’m left wanting more. I even started to read the manga, but then stopped because I didn’t want to spoil myself. This never happened to me before. Usually, I’ll start reading the manga and not care about being spoiled about the anime. But I can’t do that here.

This show is that good. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is  definitely the best anime of this fall season and quite possibly the year.

I watched the first episode of Magi the other day and other than the ending, I didn’t really find anything exciting about the show. Which is weird, since I love Arabian Nights.

I don’t even mind that the characters are not darker or that the Arabic text shown was some messed up Arabic that made no sense if you tried to read it. This isn’t Otoyomegatari, so I don’t mind.

But the story is lacking so far. No, not lacking. It just reminds me of a bunch of other animes, so maybe that’s why I’m not overly excited.

I do like Ali Baba so far and his facial expressions, but I think Aladdin’s cute, but I don’t like Aladdin’s obsession with boobs when he’s 10.

..I haven’t read the manga, so maybe that’s why?

I’m hoping it gets better though. It does get better…right?

This episode can be summed up in a sentence. Kirito goes back to playing a game that’s called ALfheim Online (ALO) and instead of not being able to logout and die, there seems to be a glitch or error of some sort with his character giving him all of his SAO stats.

We do see the return of two old characters: Agil and Yui. Agil shows up in the first part letting us know about ALO and that Asuna is being kept there. He hands Kirito the game and Kirito springs into action.

Kirito going back into a new game is great, because the show is better when Kirito was in the game. But I also wanted to see Kirito adjust more in the real world. He was clearly at home in the game and still not use to being in his real home, so his struggles to find a balance between the two would have been interesting to see.

Since he can logout normally now, I’m hoping we still get to see that, but he might get obsessed with the game or something so who knows?

Speaking of the game, ALO looks just as massive and amazing as SAO. Even though the story lacks a bit, the show has always made me want to play SAO…as long as I can logout and not die in real life. ALO gives me the same feeling. It looks stunning and I definitely want to play it.

In the game, Kirito is suppose to go to the start city, but ends up in a forest due to a glitch of some sort. The glitch not only makes him start in the forest, but also gives him all of his stats from SAO.  This means that despite being a newbie, his stats make it seem like he’s been playing this game for a long time. This means that we won’t get to see Kirito doing many side quests in order to level up, instead his entire focus will be about saving Asuna.

The glitch also gives him all of his old items. The only one that works is Yui. So he does what any good father would do and loads up her data so he can see her again. They reunite and Yui becomes a pixie.

When we first saw Yui many episodes ago, I found her really annoying. Papa this, Mama that. Papa! Mama! Papa! Mama! Ahhh! It was annoying! Then she showed us her power and I became interested in her character, except that she also died in that episode. Now that she’s back, she still says Papa, but because she’s a Pixie she provides in-game knowledge to Kirito and helps him out. So she’s useful now, so I like her. I just hope we don’t hear her asking for Papa and Mama so much.

After the two talk about the game, a new girl character shows up and Kirito saves the day. Does this mean the new girl will fall for him? No, I don’t think so. But that’s only because I think the new girl is Suguha. If I’m right, then she doesn’t fall in love with Kirito, she’s already in love with him. I always skip the OP and ED of any anime I watch, so I don’t know if this was revealed there or not, but the way the new girl held her sword was exactly the same as Suguha. Kendo style.

If it is Suguha, then her playing the game was probably a way of her feeling close to her brother, since he was in the hospital. It was probably her way of coping and whatnot, but now it’s enjoyable and she’s good at it……

But then, if it is Suguha, I wonder how her mom allowed her to get the game in the first place? If I was trapped in a game for two years, my parents probably would have banned gaming in the house, regardless if it was life friendly or not. They definitely wouldn’t allowed my siblings to play a game either. The fact that Kirito, and probably Suguha, are able to still have games in the house is kind of weird if you think about it. Then again, we never see parents in this show so I guess it’s not that big of a deal in the first place.

Overall, episode 16 is one of the better episode of SAO. The pacing was good, seeing Agil was nice, and ALO looks fun. I am interested in seeing what Kirito will do and if he gets sucked into this game and prefers it to real life. Even though I know this won’t happen, since he has a time limit to save Asuna from the creepy hair smelling guy, I’m still keeping my fingers crossed. It could be that he gets sucked into this because of the time limit and not due to him preferring it over real life. Either way, I just hope it happens.

Since we got see Agil in the real world, I wonder if we’ll get to see Klein?

I think I’ve found my new favourite anime of this fall season. The colours, the voice actors, the pacing and the plot were all fantastic. I don’t have a bad thing to say about this show. It was really that good.

When the episode opens up, we meet with Mr. Brando and Mr. Joestar. Joestar’s family fell off a cliff and are badly injured, but thanks to Mr. Brando, who was trying to steal things from the wreckage, Mr. Joestar and his son are saved. Yay!

During this exchange, what caught my eye the most were the colours. The purples and greens are so vibrant compared to everything and it made my eyes very, very happy. The drawings in itself isn’t as good as other things I’ve seen, but the colours. They were perfect for this anime. Just perfect.

As the story progresses, we meet two boys Dio Brando and Jonathan “JoJo” Joestar. They both come from very different lifestyles and view the world very differently. Dio came from nothing while Jojo is a rich kid. Just by looking at them, you already know that Dio is going to be the bad guy, because his eyes are sharp and pointy. Jojo, on the other hand, has very big innocent eyes, so he’s clearly the good guy.

I don’t know if this is truly the case for the entire anime or manga, but just from the first episode it seems like this is how it’s going to be.

Before Mr. Brando dies he tells Dio to go live with Mr. Joestar. Dio agrees but plans to take everything away from Jojo in the process. Because he’s evil and everything. His methods appear to be quite dastardly too as he plans to make Jojo lose everything and be miserable. In the process, Jojo loses all of his friends, his girlfriend, and even his poor dog. RIP Danny.

Evil!

And yet, I don’t mind watching Dio as much as I should. He’s just so over the top that I’m left wondering what he was going to do next as oppose to saying, “Die, Die, Die!” He had me on the edge of my seat hoping that Jojo would be okay and not lose his innocence.

Plus, considering his upbringing, I do somewhat sympathize with Dio and his horrible outlook on life. He’s still a jerkface, but I do hope that he changes and doesn’t become like his father.

Like I said before, the plot was amazing, the voice acting was top notch, the artwork make my eyes happy, and the pacing was sick.

I can’t wait to watch more. This show exceeded my expectations and then some. I never read the manga, but I think I’m going to start now considering how good the first episode was.

Note:In this episode, I kept forgetting Dio and Jojo were suppose to be 12. Yes, 12. That’s some crazy psychological stuff to go through when you’re 12. 12. 12…….12.

So what did you think of it?

The episode takes place 2 months after the end of episode 14. Kirito is now out of the hospital, Asuna is still in the hospital, and Kayaba is missing in action. A new character does enter the scene, Kirito’s sister, Suguha, who is actually his cousin. So far, there isn’t much personality to her, except that it seems like she’s in love with Kirito. There is a flashback scene, where Kirito’s mom/aunt is explaining how Kirito isn’t really her child, but her sister’s child. Suguha laughs when she hears this, but thinks to herself, “So now my feelings are not taboo. Cousins can get married and fall in love. YAY!”

Because that’s what siblings turned cousins do in real life. They instantly fall in love and stuff. Now, I know you might think that this is crazy. But the show has established that Kirito has the pheromone powers of an alpha lion. Any single female that comes into contact with him will fall in love with him. And they’ll also somehow always end up sleeping (in a non sexual way) next to him in bed. Always, unless they’re in a pit then it’s sleeping bags.

A lot of other things happened other that Suguha and her feelings. I did like how Kirito is still doing things that he did in the game. He was there for 2 years and he grew up a lot, so I liked how they remembered that and showed us that Kirito still isn’t use to his real life yet. I did feel bad for him when he went to visit Asuna.

I felt even worse when Asuna’s fiancee, Sugou, showed up and started sniffing her hair. I knew the moment he had glasses he would be evil and then he goes on sniffing her hair, playing with her face, and acting incredibly creepy just to mess with Kirito.

I really hope that they develop his character a bit more so that he’s not only creepy. And if he is only creepy, then I hope he’s not too one note. I have a feeling like he’s going to show up a lot, so I don’t want want him to be a horrible villain. If he is, then I might be forced to like him because he’s so ridiculous and I don’t want to like a hair sniffing weirdo.

At the end of the episode, it seems like the ALO game will start soon so I’m really excited about that. Don’t know if I love the fairy concept quite yet, but the new game will probably be fantastic, so it’s all good.

I’ve been wanting to read this for so long and just when I’m about to, the anime comes out. If you’re a fan of Battle Royale and Sword Art Online, you’ll definitely like this.

BTOOOM is a game where players fight one another using only bombs. Very interesting method, especially when we’re so use to games where you have to use guns. There were times when I was wondering why no one was sniping one another, but then they revealed the bombs and I was sold.

Sakamoto is one of the top players, but one day he finds himself on an island with bombs and someone trying to kill him. He has to play the game, only this time it’s in real life and once you die, you die for real.
The scene when he kills the guy and see his body parts in the water is shocking. I feel for him being in this situation. I wonder what brought him to the island. Did the participants agree to do, or were they kidnapped? Is this being streamed? If so that’s sick, but then what does it mean for us who are watching the show? Ah, morals being questioned.

One of the things I hope this show does is show the seriousness of the situation. They did a really great job with the first episode, but I wonder if it will be like this throughout the series? I was a bit disappointed with SAO, because it seemed like the terror of being trapped in the game world where if you die, you die in real life wasn’t as intense as the first episode made it seem. Since BTOOOM is taking place in the real world then I’m going to assume that the intensity should remain, but you never know.

The only down point would be the art. It’s good, but nothing too amazing. I don’t like Sakamoto at the moment, only because he’s a jerk to his mom. I don’t like people who don’t appreciate their parents. He’ll come around though, I mean he doesn’t really have a choice. Being that close to death tends to get people to change whether they want to or not.

Overall, I’m quite excited to see what’s going to happen.

Question: When we first see Sakamoto, he’s playing BTOOOM in his room…in the dark. Is this normal? I’m a gamer myself, but would never play something in the dark. My brother, on the other hand, does. Is this normal? Doesn’t it hurt your eyes after awhile?

After seeing the love this show was getting on tumblr, I thought I’d check it out. However, once I finished watching it I felt nothing. Not love, not hate, just nothing.

I’m not even sure I can explain my feelings well. From the synopsis and the gifs I saw, it seems like I should like this. I mean, the basic premise is interesting and very relatable, and I like the two main characters so far. Yuuta trying to be a normal guy, doing normal things, that normal people normally do is funny, because you know he’s going to fail. And once Rinka enters the picture, he fails hardcore.

Bouncing around in the nurse’s office isn’t the best way to show that you’re normal. lol

Rinka is very moe, so she’s cute by default. I like her enthusiasm to beliefs and how she doesn’t care what others think. But the best part of the episode is seeing Yuuta and Rinka interact with one another. They’re a good duo. And I do wonder how long it will take Rink to bring Yuuta back to the dark side.

So why wasn’t I an instant fan? To be honest, I’m not quite sure. Like I said before, I should like this, but after I finished watching it I felt like nothing really stood out and made me feel like this show was special. I’m going to give it another episode or two before I decide whether or not I like it, but so far I’m on the fence.

Not sure why Nibutani has a hair clip on her bangs. I haven’t used hair clips in a really, really, long time, but from what I remember hair clips are used to clip the hair back. Not just sit on the bangs for no reason. Hmmm, maybe this is revealed in the show?

This isn’t a show for everyone. It doesn’t really have a plot, there isn’t much in the way of character development, and is very, and I mean very, short. At 1 minute and 30 seconds, with 30 seconds being used for the intro song, you don’t have enough time to fully get into an episode because the show tends to end abruptly once the joke has been told.

Does this mean the show is horrible? Absolutely not.

The basic premise of the show is Shiba Inuka-san going to school and interacting with her two friends Naho, who doesn’t see anything wrong with Shiba, and Chako, who finds it weird that that no one is noticing that Shiba is a dog. What makes this even weirder is that Shiba doesn’t see herself as a dog. So what is she? A dog or human?

We’re never told what Shiba is, however, this is part of the charm of the show and it provides a lot of the jokes as well. Whether she’s a dog who ate the human human fruit or just an unfortunate looking human, we will never know. She’s mysterious in that sense. I do want to know what her parents look like though.

The show doesn’t ask you to think too hard. It’s only a minute, so you don’t really have time to do much thinking in the first place. You just watch it, laugh at its oddness and then go on to something else.

The comedy comes from seeing how everyone, humans and animals, interact with Shiba. Dogs want to smell her butt, while humans seem to fall for her. A good example of this is Chako’s brother…let’s just say that loving Shiba makes characters do some weird things.

Overall, this is a very cute and charming show. I liked it.
